IF YOU ARE RECEIVING ADOBE ACROBAT ERROR MESSAGES

Ensure that only ONE (the latest version) of Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your machine.

For users of Microsoft Windows XP, check the following:

      1. Click Start, then Control Panel, then Add or Remove Programs.
      2. Remove (uninstall) ANY and ALL versions of Adobe.
      3. After all versions have been removed, check to make sure there are no remnants on your hard drive.
Do this by opening Windows Explorer and checking under the  C:\Program Files\Adobe directory, if it still exists.
If it does, remove everything under that directory and then remove the  Adobe directory itself.

      4. Reboot/restart your computer.
      5. Download the latest version of Adobe at  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html and install it.
      6. After the installation is complete, open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools, then Internet Options, then the General Tab, and the Settings button.
Ensure that "Check for newer versions of stored pages" is set to Automatically.

      7. Make sure you have Service Pack 2 (and all subsequent updates from Windows Update) installed on the computer.
